1 - Not texting when package arrives, so it sits in my mailroom! 2 - This week, NO package, after they changed the delivery from Saturday to Sunday. 3 - Last week, missing MEATS - I emailed them and after one full week, I got a response, with apology, and refund of $20. (That doesn't help the missing meal!) 4 - Phone app does not give a contact us or other method of getting to them. It only asks for review of the meals....

Before using this meal kit service I had limited cooking experience. I signed up for two meals of two servings per week. I am used to good food and considered to be a picky eater. I have now cooked 50 meals and with only one or two exceptions they were all excellent to outstanding. Unlike another meal service that I tried every ingredient is provided (except salt, pepper, and olive oil). If, for example, 2 tablespoons of cider vinegar is required it will be provided in a small bottle. There are usually four or five meal choices to select from a week in advance. I use their Android app. The delivery packaging is sensible, and the ice pack once thawed, is drain safe so you don't have to haul it out to the trash. In one shipment there were some minor ingredients missing. When I called their customer support they did not charge me anything for that meal.

I have sat in my home waiting for their meals Today. As flight crew I have no food in the house. I figure it can not be later then 7pm. I got the email that others got at the end of the day. Delay in perishables? Are they serious? They can have their food back. I am not accepting it. Thank goodness for American Express. I may not even be here. I cook everything at once and freeze it. Yes I have a culinary degree. Shame on them. It is good. That is food poisoning waiting to happen. I safety. And since it is a Saturday you can not talk to anyone till Monday.

I was given a 3 meal gift certificate. I redeemed and selected the meals to be delivered week of 11/16. I received an email the evening of 11/16 stating the delivery was damaged in transit and would not be delivered. Then I received an email stating due to high volume the delivery was not available. The next day I received an email stating a delivery was on the way with 2 meals that I did not select. When I contacted customer service, the representative assured me I would be credited for the 3 meals I had originally ordered. I did not receive the credit and now I have 2 meals that I don't want. The entire experience, which was a gift to make cooking easier and more enjoyable, has caused stress and confusion.

The meals are OK. But they "lost" my gift certificate and started charging me. A meal came w/o all ingredients. One meal was delivered to the wrong address.. Went bad. Was comped. Not worth it-expensive.

I paid $500 for a gift subscription, and received one box with a live bug; that and others with leaking packages, several boxes with ingredients missing, a missing delivery and one dinner box that arrived at 1am. I asked for a refund to my credit card because we of course don't want to ever order from this company again. It's a health hazard. Customer Service has declined on three separate occasions to do anything to remediate this. This is unacceptable for any company, but for a food company to not care is quite scary.

I received a gift from my mom for two free meals from Blue Apron. I ordered those two meals just to try it. Blue Apron at no time ever gave any indication that I was signing up to pay for any products or subscribe to future orders. I received my free gift almost two weeks late. The vegetables received were in poor condition and spilled in the bottom of the boxes. I was SO glad I hadn't paid for it. I made the dishes using my own vegetables but the provided meats and other ingredients. I did not like them at all.
The next day, after I received my gift, I noticed a charge on my bank account for a little over $71. I am HIGHLY upset!! That is ridiculous for two meals that I had not chosen, authorized, and do not want. I wrote customer support requesting that they stop the shipment and refund my account. I received a notice saying they could close my account but I could not be refunded. I had no idea what I was going to receive and do not want it. Today, 7 days later, I received the meals blue apron decided to send and bill me for. I am NOT happy at all!! The recipes are not with in my dietary need, are extremely poor quality items including tilapia fish. Yuck!! This is ridiculous! Blue apron charged me for items I did not choose nor did I ever authorize blue apron to charge my card anything at any time. I would like a refund.

The one star rating is based on the lack of confidence I have in receiving my deliveries and lack of choices. I have been a long time subscriber to Hello Fresh but decided to give Blue Apron a chance just for something different. My number one complaint is unreliability. I found you have to make sure you check the weekly menus quite far out or everything is sold out. (Never has happened to me on Hello Fresh.) I also have not thrilled with the choices and even more the lack of choices. (Hello Fresh has many and a wide range.) My last straw was that I finally found a week that I liked 3 menus enough to order. I ordered it a month out. 5 days prior to the delivery date I get an email that says order update. It then states that they have cancelled my order due to "unforeseen" circumstances. I have never had this happen with Hello Fresh. I am so frustrated with Blue Apron that I doubt I will even try it again even with a $30 credit.

I don't really remember ever signing up for Blue Apron because we use Home Chef but apparently I did a month ago. But they are just now charging me for my first week of meals to send in a week... a whole month later? Really weird and sketchy. I cancelled immediately.

The delivery between FEDEX and LASERSHIP was always late in the day or delayed, resulting in defrosted or spoiled food. It happens so frequently that I was only able to enjoy 3 weeks of food in a three-month time-frame of being a member. UNACCEPTABLE!!!! GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

Only delivery that was mentioned as Mediterranean. Signed up as NOT wanting to do much PREP. Promised Wed delivery, day after hospital wife came home = perfect, so easy to sign up. They took our money pronto. Where's the Mediterranean? "Oh, scroll down and sometimes you can switch to one of those" WTH? Later said wrote: oh too bad delay = Friday. I changed it back to Wed. They changed it back to Fri. FedEx said more likely Sunday. FedEx then left this 1/2 iced (not dry ice?!?!?) in the street blocking a 110yd driveway they easily could manage AND turn around... SOP for UPS and also FedEx... Calling out to driver = sped away.
Open huge box to find 2 small grocery sacks (the little white plastic litter of the roads) that came from produce & fish market grocery style, inferior to what HEB now delivers to FRONT DOOR and COLD things that one has to cook FROM SCRATCH = UGH. Cancellation button is so hidden (and they know it) they suggest emailing them for instructions (go to Chat is better, even tho you wait in line for this as well) but found and now have to give a list of reasons WHY dumping them.
Now to get money back, dump the elephant box. Daughter said AFTER signing up her friends quit as well but some like the recipes... Cheaper to buy a cookbook, I say if so interested in cooking from SCRATCH.

So we have been trying out these fresh food meal delivery services to help with the craziness of returning to work mid pandemic....this experience was horrendous. We received our first meal delivery today, tried the service out with a discount coupon and ordered 2 meals this week serve 4 people each. We paid in advance as expected and once we received the meals today immediately realized we had been sent the an incorrect meal. It took 60 minutes on hold to reach a live person and they were very nice and credited our account for the incorrect meal. Unfortunately, after an 11 hour work day I still had to sort out a meal for my family.
I proceeded onto their website to schedule the next meal delivery and skipped a few weeks in July, immediately realized we wanted July 14 and went to choose our meals and were unable as they are sold out. They are sold out for the next 4 weeks actually. So we were sitting on a $75 credit we were unable to even redeem.
We got online with their customer service chat line, which took more time, and they were completely zero help. I was told that those weeks were sold out and there was nothing that could be done. I asked if in the future we had to order a month in advance and the CS rep basically shrugged. I just asked for the money to be credited to my account instead of the credit since I am unable to even use it. She happily did that and cancelled my account when I asked. They dont even care about retaining a customer. If you dont mind choosing your meals a month in advance I bet this is a good deal.

I tried Blue Apron to see if I liked the food. We used other delivery services and found them to be good. However, Blue Apron food was mediocre to average at best. So, I decided to cancel. After three attempts to cancel, Blue Apron continues to send unwanted food and is billing my credit card. I have tried everything to get them to stop, yet the food keeps arriving. I am now beginning to contemplate just cancelling the card. My suggestion...don't start with Blue Apron!

Am a new customer with Blue Apron. Loved the first two deliveries. The third box included rotten mushrooms and missing ingredients. Contacted Blue Apron right away via their contact us on their website. Three days later and still no response. Was upset so I put my linked credit card which they were going to use to bill my next order on hold since it was too late to cancel the next scheduled delivery. Sure enough I was contacted right away when the card was denied. Very sad that their customer service is non existent. Have canceled and will be trying one of their many competitors!!!

I just cancelled my subscription. Meals started to repeat and some were good and others ok. When I went to cancel I had to use a TPA (outside company). To cancel it was a $37 fee. Somehow that just doesn't seem right. Lesson learned!

The company's cancellation policy is confused. I followed the cancellation policy posted on the website that stated to send an email for canceling the subscription on May 6th. After going back to the website and corrected the credit card information (huge mistake on my part!), they sent a food box last week. I wrote back to the Customer Service tagging my older email however they did not accept my cancellation by email and charged me again on my credit card this week sending another food box. This time I followed their "new" instructions that they send by email and not stated on the website's cancellation policy. The subscription is completed and Blue Apron is on my "do not do or recommend business list" forever.

My very first order did not arrive. Blue Apron used Fed Ex which is notoriously unreliable therefore Blue Apron service is unreliable. Have no issues with Hello Fresh. Do not recommend Blue Apron at all.

I had signed up for the meal plan through Blue Apron's website. I sent am email to cancel my subscription letting them know that I cannot afford it right now. I did all of this before I was charged. I received a text through my banking card company stating that blue apron took $27 and change out of my account. Instead of them cancelling like I had previously requested they took money and everything. When I had asked for answers big surprise there weren't any. Of course they don't do refunds even though it was their mess up. I will NEVER order anything from them again and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. So much for being able to cancel any time. It seems to me as though they are knowingly ripping people off and don't give a care. They are terrible.

We have loved making our meals and have been a regular customer for 2 years. I would rate 95% of our meals at least a 4 or 5 out of 5 stars for the healthy flavorful meals. Meals are plentiful for 2 people and food is similar to what you can get in a fine restaurant. We get 3 meals a week. The meals usually take about 30-45 minutes to make and with all the ingredients and step by step (with photos) directions, it's easy to figure out. Our millennial daughter enjoyed our meals so much, she's a regular customer as well now that she's living in her own apartment. My sister in AZ first recommended Blue Apron to us and we couldn't be happier!

I would NEVER recommend Blue Apron to anyone. Out of all of the current home delivery food/cooking based companies, I would AVOID Blue Apron at all costs. The customer service team is horrendous!! The food quality is sub par, if you opt for no pork or other dietary restrictions, they SEND IT ANYWAY, therefore you are paying for product although you will not consume it.
If you even receive your delivery, of course, as most of the time it is delivered elsewhere. If you report an issue, the speak to you in a condescending manner and try to make excuses for their lacking. I cancelled my act, they continued to charge me afterwards. I reached out to them prior to contacting my bank, they were so rude and disturbingly condescending, shouting into the phone, "Blue apron WILL NOT CREDIT YOUR ACT NO MATTER WHAT!!" Followed by, "If you say the word dispute, we immediately refuse to credit, no matter the reason." Although they charged me AFTER I CANCELLED, WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION! I have never been spoken to the way Blue Apron's staff has spoken to me on numerous occasions. AVOID them!

I had cancelled my subscription years ago but recently wanted to check their menu to see if anything had changed. I logged back in and browsed and did not see anything I liked so logged back out. Days later I receive an email saying my order had shipped. Confused, I looked at the tracking and it was in fact a valid order getting shipped to my old address I lived at over 3years ago. So I called customer service where the lady explained to me that once you login again it automatically reactivates your subscription. So after arguing with her I got a refund. Beware of this scam. They are sneaky and untrustworthy.

I wanted to look at the website and decide if I wanted to restart our membership. We canceled the first time due to the fact the food was not good and the website made it difficult to make your choices. This time in order to get into the website I needed to put credit card information in which I take responsibility for being so stupid. As I navigated through the website it was decided that nothing had changed and we were not interested. I tried to remove my credit card information. No luck. I tried calling and was on hold so long then told I needed to leave a VM which I did and never heard back from anyone. I finally talked to customer service today and the answer was well your fault nothing they could do but cancel future orders. I did try to cancel immediately. If you want to be conned and trapped into a charge by browsing go ahead because that what they do.

Was excited to try Blue Apron, so signed up - but after a failed delivery, multiple charges to my account despite cancelling, an email to the customer experience team (which received lukewarm condescending responses), and only a partial refund - I am perplexed how they are still in business. I am advising anyone who is thinking about trying Blue Apron to stay far away - 0 / 5 stars.

After receiving the box, I started one of the recipes only to find 5 missing ingredients. Then I checked the other two and they were missing 3 ingredients each. I was very disappointed when you are supposed to be able to have a good meal.

I have not tried any other meal kits, but I like Blue Apron. Their recipes are always tasty and easy to prepare. If you download their mobile app, you will get notifications when new recipes are out so you can confirm or simply change your menu. My only complaint is the waste. Everything comes in plastic one-time use packaging that gets thrown away with every dish. When a dish includes an ingredient such as honey, it is in a paper container, rather than plastic. I wish they would do that for all ingredients they send, as I feel like I am contributing to the waste that ends up in our landfills. Please consider not using plastic for everything, Blue Apron. Please and thank you.

I'm extremely disappointed with Blue Apron. I recently called to change my email address. I was told they couldn't do it because of security reasons (even though I answered all questions). The problem was because I didn't have access to the previous email because I no longer worked for the company. Blue Apron's answer: change my address slightly by adding or taking away a number???? That is one of the dumbest answers I've ever received. If I change my address, it would not get to me. Up to this point I was very happy with them and would recommend but not now. Incompetent bozos!!

We received our first ever Blue Apron delivery two days ago. As soon as we received the package we put the ingredients in the fridge. Tonight when I went to cook the first meal, the zucchini was very wrinkly and mushy to the touch. It was rotten. I was disappointed but skipped that ingredient and cooked the rest. The meal was a steak & pesto rice bowl. It was pretty flavorless (not that the zucchini would have helped) and I was not impressed.
I reported the ingredient issue on the website then decided to cancel. I looked around the account settings and the only options you actually have to self-manage your account is to go to the menu view and click 3 times to skip each week for the next month. You cannot cancel or pause your account. I checked their help website and it says you have to email them to cancel.
I find this to be a super shady business practice. They have a website and a mobile app but purposefully do not deliver the ability to pause or cancel your account on your own. I emailed them right away but I'm definitely concerned about getting charged for the next order given they may be low staffed during the holidays and likely receive a ton of emails given the poor quality of their service. I would not order from them again.

The meat in my package was all rotten by the time I got it despite the expiration date not having passed. The mushrooms went bad in three days before I could use them. I had to use my own meat for the first meal, hoping it was just that one, but the rest were rotten as well. The meals weren't even that great to start with, I didn't enjoy any part of the two meals I made, especially the one with the steak that I cooked just to taste and find it totally disgustingly bad. When I contacted customer service they made me jump through hoops before offering me a credit after I had already cancelled my account. When I expressed that I did not want a credit to a service I no longer wished to maintain, they refused to give me even a partial refund.
When I told them I wanted a refund not a credit, they sent me a link to their terms and conditions. LITERALLY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE MOVE IN THE BOOK! I don't give a flying fart about your policy. I bought I product that showed up bad and was therefore unable to use, why should I have to have paid for that when it's of no fault of my own? This is terrible customer service and just plain bad business.

I was trying to look for an ingredients page and signed up accidentally. I was not worried because it had promised that I could cancel anytime. Surprise...the office that handles cancellations is closed on weekends. However the order could be sent out on the weekend...so now it is my problem. I do believe that they are practising FRAUD if I can not cancel 10 minutes after I "signed" up. This practice is FRAUDULENT.

While I absolutely loved, Loved the taste of the food using the ingredients they sent in pre-measured amounts, I found out after time that spoiled ingredients would start to show up, and that's even WHEN or IF my meals would show up. I'd contact customer service hoping to receive some help locating my shipment and being told "it's arriving today before 9pm." Only to wait all day to not receive anything.
Now this ultimately lies with their packing and shipping service, but when you wait day after day for the moment your "hot" package arrives hoping you can get it into a fridge and cooled back down before your food goes absolutely bad, it becomes unacceptable, and with little to no help finding a satisfactory solution to this issue I must plead people avoid using Blue Apron. Only to be depending on receiving your box of perishable foods on a certain day and they not show up, then don't show up the following day, only to receive your box days later after sitting in a warm FedEx truck your food rotting away. Stay away from any meal service that depends on shipping using FedEx, UPS or USPS. Stay away from Blue Apron!
